Provenance Glenrothes 7YO Single Cask
An indie Glenrothes, bottled up Douglas Laing for the Provenance series. This one was distilled back in January 2013 and left to age in a sherry puncheon for 7 years, before being bottled in February 2020. 428 bottles were produced, and they all feature a little salmon doing a jump on the label. That's wonderful.
Nose: Red apple, raisin and oak damp fragrance, plus some warming clove.
Palate: Sugary coffee, fresh barley, almonds and chocolate biscuits.
Finish: Cinnamon stick spiciness lingers.
