Ampeleia (meaning 'vines' in Greek) is the work of Elisabetta Foradori, one of Italy's "superstar" winemakers - famous for her work with Teraldego in the Alto Adige - in collaboration with two friends, Giovanni Podini and Thomas Widmann. Together they have developed a unique project in the Maremma region of Tuscany, farming biodynamically to produce fresh, elegant and silky wines.
A deep ruby-red in colour with aromas of black cherries, blueberries and figs. On the palate, fresh and smooth with notes of sweet spices and red fruits. Silky in texture with balanced tannins and a solid mineral backbone leading to a lengthy and refreshing finish.
