Kilchoman Am Burach
Kilchoman's Am Bùrach was the tasty result of a little accident at the distillery - an unnamed stillman mixed together some Machir Bay and Port Matured Kilchoman while vatting casks! Dubbed Am Bùrach ("the mess" in Gaelic) the whisky was filled back into Bourbon barrels and eventually given a finishing period in ruby port casks. Though its maturation history may be a bit all over the shop, the whisky itself is marvellous indeed! Plenty of classic tuck shop sweeties and fresh fruit notes, paired with a good helping of grassy, earthy smoke.
