Nicola Fabiano Valpolicella Classico Ripasso
For nearly 100 years the Fabiano family have been growing, producing and selling wines from the Veneto region in North East Italy. This winery is now run by the fourth generation, brothers Alessandro and Michele Fabiano, under the watchful eye of their father Nicola. After the second fermentation, the wine is aged in small Slavony oak barrels for 12 months. The winemaking process is then completed after a period of 3 months maturation in bottle. The colour is dark ruby red, intense and elegant on the nose with hints of ripe cherry and black raspberry. Light hints of spices from the long ageing in oak barrels. Full bodied in the mouth and a long finish with a well-balanced acidity, soft tannins and a perception of fleshy fruits.
